Our client is a leading specialist in the design and delivery of complex, high-end AV solutions and is seeking an experienced Senior M&E Designer to join their growing team.
Working within a highly skilled Design Team, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of some of the most technically challenging and diverse AV projects in the industry. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex system designs are technically accurate, specification compliant, and fully fit for purpose before being handed over to the wider engineering team for implementation.
This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of M&E design packages from concept through to completion, driving projects forward while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. Key Responsibilities:
• M&E Design and ownership of complex AV Systems using AutoCAD.
• A thorough understanding of the technology behind the equipment and associated interfacing.
• Scrutinising specification documentation, BOM and scoping documents to ensure that designed solutions are fit for purpose.
• Design of highly custom metalwork and bespoke engineering solutions.
• Attend and initiate meetings with Senior Technical, Engineering and Project delivery teams.
• Contribute to and ensure the quality of design team processes and standards.
• Application of an agile approach to deliver and prioritise tasks within an identified timeframe.
• Communication with key stakeholders on technical challenges that need resolve.
• Application of high-level engineering design practices including where necessary, POC at design phase.
• Allocating, based on availability, an M&E designer to a project and hand over any info obtained from the kick off meeting.

• Updating based on info obtained from kick off Meeting.

• Acting as a "go to" for M&E queries within the Team channel.
• Assisting in mentoring M&E Trainees.

Desirable Skills:
• At least 3 years’ experience working as an M&LE AV Systems designer.
• Proven track record of delivering complex AV system designs in AutoCAD or similar and knowledge of current AV technology and system integration.
• Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams.
• Effective communicator
• A positive, enthusiastic and can-do approach to delivering the role
• A "people person" with effective soft skills
• Self-sufficient and independently work to deadlines and manage workload
