Job Description
A fast-growing technology company delivering premium audiovisual solutions to leading fitness and retail brands is seeking an experienced AV Project Manager to join its dynamic team.
For over 30 years, the business has been at the forefront of innovative AV and lighting solutions within the health and fitness sector. Combining industry expertise, creative design, and technical excellence, the company has built a reputation as a trusted market leader.
This role is based in London, and the company is looking for someone located within the South East who can easily travel into London and customer sites as required. A hybrid working arrangement is available, offering flexibility between home, office, and site-based work.
As an AV Project Manager, you will take full ownership of AV installation projects from sales handover through to completion. You’ll act as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing planning, resource management, budgets, timelines, and technical delivery. Your ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain exceptional delivery standards will be key to ensuring project success.
• Understand the project scope through collaboration with technical sales colleagues, ensuring alignment with quotes and drawings.
• Maintain installation schedules and proactively communicate with stakeholders about risks and any necessary adjustments.
• Lead project teams with clarity, providing them with essential tools and information for effective delivery while ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
• Manage project costs diligently, ensuring profitability and maintaining accurate financial tracking, including project variations.
• Guarantee a focus on health and safety by implementing appropriate RAMS for each project and ensuring on-site compliance.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to solve problems and have the confidence to make appropriate decisions.
• Experience in AV is essential.
• Background in AV and some experience in access control, IT, and lighting installations within commercial settings.
• Strong ability to collaborate positively with various internal departments such as Sales, Design, and Installation teams.
• Experienced in project management with AV background, preferably within a construction context.
• Excellent financial management skills and commercial acumen to manage project costs effectively.
• Resilient, adaptable, and able to maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude under changing requirements.
• Clean driving license valid in the UK and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Holder of recognised project management certification is a bonus.
