Job Description
We're looking for a creative Media Services Technician to deliver high quality virtual, hybrid events and video content. Based in Liverpool you will be joining an in-house team at an exceptional newly constructed venue. The position offers an additional annual "market forces premium" payment of up to £5k!
Media Services (AVTMS) TechnicianReports to: AV Operations manager
Working hours Full time 40 hour a week. Standard working hours between 08.30 – 18.30, Monday to Saturday.
Some overtime and anti-social working will be required to support events.
The purpose of your role:
• To use technology to deliver highest quality virtual and hybrid meetings and video content creation
• To be skilled and knowledgeable in the configuration and operation of a broad range of video and streaming technologies
• To be organised, creative, positive, team and customer focussed in everything you do.
• To support the venue Events sales team with expert technical video production knowledge
The audio-visual, technical and media services (AVTMS) Senior Technician role is an equally demanding and rewarding role that underpins the whole service delivery strategy for AVTMS within the venue.
You will be expected to provide technical expertise to support conference, webinars and content creation (filming and editing). You will be supported to reach a high level of competence across a wide range of event technology disciplines.
You will be encouraged to approach all the tasks assigned to you with a positive, supportive and collaborative mindset.
How your success will be measured:
• Feedback from your customers, colleagues and managers
• Your ability to work to tight deadlines when creating quotes and support materials
• The quality and level of detail of your output
• Your ability to work independently or as part of team.
What you are accountable for…
• The successful technical delivery of conferences and meetings for both internal and external customers.
• Ensuring all technical equipment is stored, handled and maintained to standards designed to ensure effective use and longevity.
• Contributing ideas that improve what the team does and offers new opportunity for revenue generation
• Portraying the venue as a positive and customer organisation at all times.
Your experience includes:
• Working in a customer facing role
• Previous experience of the audio-visual, events or technical arts industries
• Demonstrable knowledge of video production disciplines (cameras, photography, editing, streaming)
• A technical or creative art qualification (desirable)
• Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
