Job Description

Delivering a superior quality audio visual service within the allocated hotel that goes beyond customer expectations by utilising technical knowledge, hospitality skills and up-selling techniques. With a focus on team leadership and staff development while ensuring the utmost in client satisfaction.

Key Job Responsibilities

Technical
Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation and breakdown of the audio visual equipment. Ensure all items are accounted for before and after each event by following proper security, storage, transportation and maintenance procedures.
Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues, including sound systems, LCD's, projectors and PC's. Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.

Customer Service
Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers. Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication. Meets with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly. Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day. Understand and foster the hotel/client relationship.

Sales Development
Maximise revenue potential available to our client by using proven sales techniques to up-sell AV equipment/services to clients. Preparation and follow up on sales quotes when required.

Systems knowledge
Understand Company process, follow procedures and complete system entry and paperwork accurately. Use the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Use and understand company computer systems and software programs. Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.

Financial and Information management
Co-operate/ Manage an efficient and profitable AV operation. Focus on revenue maximization and cost control in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Complete standard and as needed reports accurately and on time. Work with clients to finalise invoices and complete order entries as needed.

People Management
Maintain a positive employee relations environment for all team members. Manage performance, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing levels, and facilitate team development. Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image. Model and reinforce a positive working environment centred around the PSAV culture values.

Job Requirements
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English A - C grades) is essential
- A HNC, bachelor degree or equivalent, in an AV related subject or hospitality based subject would be desirable
- At least 4 year of customer service or hospitality experience is desirable
- At least 4 year of audio visual experience working with AV equipment is essential (audio, video, lighting or rigging)
- Previous experience of basic sales is desirable
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Experience of leading a workflow and team members
