Job Description
This is a direct staff appointment by a major conference venue in the heart of London. They are looking for a high calibre Senior AV Technician to assist with all aspects of the in-house AV department - including operations, purchasing, and upselling of services; ensuring all clients receive excellent service and their requirements are met in full.
Responsibilities & Duties:Operation:
To act as the main point of contact for the AV Dept. in the absence of the AV Manager; developing & maintaining strong business relationships with clients, service providers & suppliers.
Managing technicians & freelance staff.
Operation & management of in house equipment including Sound desks, Lighting desks, Image switchers/mixers, Video & Audio Hardware and Software, Projection systems, IPTV systems and others.
Ensuring all rooms are set up correctly and to operate AV equipment during events, communicating with the client as needed, with the ability to understand and explain the correct usage and application of all the AV equipment to clients & colleagues - providing technical training as required.
To provide information on maintenance, repair & replacement and to be able to undertake 1st level maintenance of the equipment.
Production & Client Support:
Assist the Events Coordinators with show rounds & queries, writing AV quotes as requested.
Creation of CAD plans for clients if requested.
Writing & managing risk assessments and the provision of sales information.
Ensure the accessibility of WiFi and the in house Client Network at all times.
