The Role
As Audio Visual Technician, you will:
• Set up, operate and dismantle professional AV equipment for meetings, conferences and live events.

• Set up and operate fixed and portable AV equipment across multiple event spaces.
• Operate digital audio mixing consoles and set up wired and wireless microphone systems.
• Provide audio feeds and technical support for filming and camera crews.
• Support professional projection, video switching, PTZ camera and presentation systems.
• Assist with video conferencing, hybrid events, live streaming and recording requirements.
• Work alongside IT and technical teams regarding networking, LAN connectivity and event technology requirements.
• Support lighting requirements, including DMX-controlled and automated lighting systems.
• Move and allocate AV equipment between event spaces depending on operational requirements.
• Assist with AV equipment inventory, stock control and general equipment management.
• Troubleshoot AV faults and technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Liaise with clients before and during events to understand and deliver their technical requirements.
• Work alongside and provide technical guidance to third-party AV, production and staging contractors.
• Maintain technical areas, equipment stores and AV control rooms to a professional standard.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and support the completion of risk assessments and safe working practices.
• Identify and report technical, operational and safety issues when required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AV services, systems and event delivery.

About You

• Experience operating digital audio mixing consoles.
• Experience setting up wired and wireless microphone systems.
• Knowledge of professional projection and video switching systems.
• Experience operating PTZ camera systems.
• Good understanding of video conferencing and collaboration technology.
• Knowledge of live streaming, filming or recording workflows would be advantageous.
