Job Description

We are looking for an experienced AV Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of audio visual services within a busy hospitality and events environment.

This is a varied, client-facing position combining hands-on AV delivery, event planning, team coordination and commercial responsibility. You will work closely with venue teams and clients to ensure meetings, conferences and larger live events are delivered smoothly and to a high technical standard.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in AV or live events and be comfortable managing both the operational and customer-facing aspects of an onsite service.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their event requirements and recommending suitable AV and production solutions.
Plan and coordinate the technical delivery of meetings, conferences and live events.
Support the setup, operation and removal of AV equipment alongside the technical team.
Provide onsite technical assistance and troubleshoot issues when required.
Engage with clients ahead of events to understand their requirements and identify opportunities to enhance their production.
Prepare technical solutions, quotations and event requirements based on client briefs.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue through additional AV, production and event services.
Build strong relationships with existing clients and encourage repeat business.
Work closely with venue sales, events, hospitality and operational teams.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal technical and operational departments.
Coordinate equipment, crew and other resources required for upcoming events.
Manage technical staff effectively, including allocating responsibilities and coordinating shift requirements.
Monitor upcoming events and ensure the appropriate technical resources are available.
Support the planning and delivery of larger productions, including pre-production and technical preparation.
Assist with tenders and proposals for new and existing clients where required.
Maintain accurate records relating to equipment requirements, quotations and event activity.
Ensure services are delivered within agreed budgets while making effective use of internal equipment and resources.
Monitor service standards, gather client feedback and implement improvements where appropriate.
Resolve client or venue concerns professionally and efficiently.
Develop strong relationships across the venue to ensure effective communication between AV, events, sales and hospitality teams.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience within audio visual, technical events or live production.
Experience working in a client-facing AV or events environment.
Good knowledge of professional AV equipment and event production.
The ability to support the technical setup and operation of events when required.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
Confidence communicating with clients, venue teams and technical staff.
A commercially aware approach with the ability to identify additional opportunities from existing clients.
Experience coordinating or supervising technicians would be advantageous.
Previous experience within hotels, venues, hospitality or conference environments would be beneficial.
A professional and proactive approach to customer service.
