Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on LED Technician to help build the client’s technical capability from the ground up.
This is not a role for someone looking to slot into an existing system. It is for someone who wants to help define it.
You will be involved in:
• Working closely with the founder to develop the technical and operational backbone of the business
• Visiting the manufacturing partner in China to build product knowledge and supplier relationships
• Setting up and organising a dedicated workshop space at the client’s HQ
• Leading the preparation, testing and maintenance of transparent LED stock
• Attending installs, particularly in the early stages, to establish quality standards and refine processes
• Developing robust systems for prep, install, maintenance, storage and transport
• Troubleshooting technical challenges and solving problems others might avoid
• Turning impressive technology into a reliable, saleable and rentable product
Initially, you will be on every project. As the business grows, you will help shape how the technical function expands.

About You
You are:
• Experienced in LED video systems, ideally including transparent or non-standard LED products
• Technically confident with LED processors, signal flow, power distribution and fault finding
• Comfortable in both workshop and live install environments
• Highly practical and self-sufficient
• Organised and process-minded, with an eye for improving systems
• Happy getting stuck in during the day and handling planning, documentation or configuration work in the evening when required
• Motivated by building something new rather than maintaining something established
You enjoy solving problems yourself. At this stage, the client is looking for a doer, not a delegator.
What We Offer
• Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
• The opportunity to shape a specialist business from day one
• Direct exposure to international manufacturing and supply chain
• Real autonomy and influence over technical standards and processes
• The chance to become a recognised specialist in a fast-growing niche within the UK market
If you are an ambitious LED technician who wants more than just another hire-and-fire role, and you are excited by the idea of building a focused, technically strong business from the ground up, we would like to hear from you.
