Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced cisco certified AV Engineer Specialist with a drive for continuous service improvement and a solid experience in implementing and supporting AV services, to join our team. You will focus on leading project delivery working with third-party AV integrators, standardising the delivery process and documentation, and ensuring these standards are adhered to. Additionally, you will provide third-line support of the AV services globally, building the capability in the second- and first-line teams, acting as a mentor to upskill the teams. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

About Our Client;

Working With this global commercial law firm, with 31 offices in 21 countries worldwide.

With hybrid working, the technology solutions to support the firm’s need to communicate and collaborate effectively, has become very critical for the firm to continue to deliver best-in-class services to our clients. Our clients and staff expect our communications and collaboration technology to deliver a best-in-class experience regardless of platform, location of attendees and time. The quality of service is paramount, with any degradation directly impacting our clients and the efficiency of the firm. The pace of change for the technology is fast moving, whilst clients have an ever-changing expectation, meaning the Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) team must continuously revise and adapt its approach.

Our client has been named as one of The Times’ Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality for the tenth consecutive year; recognised by Stonewall as a top 10 employer for LGBTQ+ inclusion, and by the Social Mobility Employer Index as a top employer for advancing social mobility.

We recognise that one size does not fit all. The goal is to embed flexibility across the firm by giving everyone the opportunity to work in an agile way, whether as a regular pattern or on an ad hoc basis, and we will be happy to discuss this further. We also recognise that women, especially, may hesitate to apply if they feel they may not meet every requirement listed despite being excited by the role. If this sounds like you, we’d really encourage you to apply.

The UCC team is a small but growing team and is responsible for these three primary service pillars:

- Real-time communication platforms - MS Teams being the primary platform for voice and collaboration, in addition to Zoom, Webex, Google Meet

- Workplace technology, such as Audio Visual (AV) services in meeting rooms and common areas, space management, digital signage, building security systems,

- Live events - the management and delivery of the firm’s internal, complex high-profile virtual or hybrid events, and supporting our Marketing colleagues with facilitating client-facing hybrid live events

You will work with the regional Technology colleagues to strengthen the local teams’ capability to support the AV services in the firm so that collectively we can provide the best service to our clients, lawyers, and business team colleagues.

Due to the global reach of the team, the role will occasionally be required to work outside the core UK hours to support colleagues in Asia and America as well as travelling to sites for project delivery or issue resolution.

Key Requirements;

-Have experience as an integrator and room commissioner.
Knowledge of hybrid event spaces including platforms like vMix, audio, video, and lighting equipment in both digital and analogue.
-Demonstrate knowledge and experience in AV technologies and systems (Audio Systems & Processing such as Amps, DSPs, mics, and audio reinforcement, Ceiling Array Microphones (Sennheiser/Shure), display systems, and video conferencing solutions (Cisco and Interoperability).
-Have experience working with Design Drawings to verify and validate systems are installed and working as expected.
-Have experience with intelligent building technologies such as IP Security, Lighting systems and HVAC etc.
-Have practical experience in installing and configuring AVoIP technologies such as Crestron NV, configuring and troubleshooting Dante-enabled network devices.
-Good understanding of network principles, such as VLANs, DHCP, Subnets, ACLs, Firewalls, and patching.
-An effective communicator, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, and adapt styles as situations require.
