Job Description
We have a block booking request for live event support at a central London event venue starting 13th June (ideally) to Friday 29th July. Below will be the day to day requirements. Day rate is £250.00. Let me know if you have any questions.
Duties will include:• Loading and testing clients’ presentation content (PPT, pdf, keynote etc) explaining to users what is the cause of any issues (e.g. formatting) and resolving them quickly and satisfactorily.
• Assisting presenters setting up to present from their own laptops and in particular understanding and knowing how to resolve common issues with Mac users
• Changing presentations between speakers using remote access software (Radmin)
• Operating a switcher (Analog Way) using a shotbox to display a holding slide when changing presentations
• Managing holding slides when a full deck is provided and displaying the correct ones at the appropriate times
• Making audio recordings
• Occasionally changing lighting states (stage and mood lighting)
• Occasionally playing video files using dedicated software (Mitti)
• Operating sound
Knowledge of PowerPoint and the important settings and keyboard shortcuts e.g. being able to set up a rolling PPT when the client has provided a deck with no timings added. Should understand how to quickly change from extended mode to duplicate using Windows shortcut such as when going from a PowerPoint presentation to a user with a pdf (and know the shortcuts to full screen a pdf etc).
Operating sound is usually very straightforward just a single lectern mic. Q&A sessions will have 2 handhelds for the audience and panel sessions are rarely more that 4-5 top table mics. The lecture hall is acoustically treated and the desk eq and dynamics are fine tuned.
