Job Description
Our client is an innovative provider of Audio Visual & Integrated technology services and they are currently seeking an experienced AV Installation Engineer to join their growing team. Strong communication skills essential as this is a customer facing role.
The role involves 50% onsite work in the Greater London area and 50% working from the HQ in West London. Below is a list daily duties and responsibilities that make up this position:• Performing onsite routine maintenance for our technical AV installations across London
• Speaking with clients to Plan, book and budget for maintenance and occasional system upgrades
• Providing remote support to clients for our technical AV installations
• Advise internal team members on best practises for technical problems and projects
• Work with the design team to install new Audio-Visual systems onsite and produce system schematics and user guides
To Apply for this role the Applicant must be:
• Experienced with at least 2 years’ experience Permanent AV Installations
• UK resident and allowed to work in the UK
• The applicant must be able to work autonomously and good at managing and prioritising their workload
• Flexible with work hours and able to work both onsite around the wider London area and from our west London office
• The applicant must hold a full driver’s licence
• No criminal record
• Client facing with excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 20 kgs
The following qualities would be highly regarded and very helpful to your application being successful:
• Experience with AV Networks and good level of understanding of IP, DNS, VLANs, IGMP etc
• Experience with specifying AV equipment and budgeting to best meet the clients needs
• Experience building corporate Audio-Visual Systems including boardrooms & live event spaces
Experience with AV system maintenance, firmware updates etc
• both remotely and on site
• Experience creating AV system schematics and floorplans with Visio, AutoCAD or similar software
• Knowledge of AV control systems including AMX, Crestron & Q-SYS
• Experience with Digital signage platforms like BrightSign
• Experience with Virtual & Hybrid Events
• Experience with video mixing & streaming with Vmix or similar software
• Good understanding of video conferencing systems and software including MS Teams, Zoom systems (Crestron, Logitech, Poly, Yealink) Polycom & Cisco hardware codecs
• Experience with live sound, lighting and AV for corporate events or similar
• ECS, CTS or similar industry accreditation
