Job Description
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an AV Manager who will be responsible for building and strategically leading the AV Team in delivering the Audio-Visual services at the venue along with our digital programme.
Job purpose:• To manage the delivery of in-house audio-visual services to internal and external conference and business meeting clients by pre meeting engagement, on the day event production and post event management
• Work with the Venue sales teams in client liaison and site visits for the promotion and sale of AV packages and services.
• Partnering with stakeholder teams to provide production support for educational activities and implementing new learning tools and interactive learning activities on digital platforms.
• Producing, curating, and preparing materials, resources and story boards to produce video content for broadcast.
• Annually review the AV inventory, make applications for major repairs and replacement renewals.
Responsibilities
• Working to the highest standard of AV quality in all areas of Conference, Meetings and Events delivery.
• Managing a team of AV Technicians and their distributed work schedules, resource allocation and project delivery
• Manage the team with production-based work, set ups, tests and rehearsals according to schedules
• Being the interface between internal stakeholders and the audio-visual technicians and end service delivery
• Manage the virtual and hybrid delivery, providing technical expertise and meeting "know how" across an array of platforms
• Managing and oversee video projects from pre-production planning, on-site and remote production activities
• Manage and maintain a portfolio of freelance support across all AV disciplines who will be deployed as and when required to support spikes in business activity.
• Being responsible for video collection, to ensure all projects are stored and archived appropriately and can be readily obtained.
• Liaise with the digital marketing teams for delivering promotional video content for social media distribution.
General
The post holder must at all times when conducting responsibilities and interacting with others:

Experience, skills and competencies required
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant Venue AV Management experience and/or equivalent combination of educational venue with some commercial experience
• A high level of IT literacy
• Exemplary team management skills and experience, with demonstrable motivational achievements.
• Attention to detail with exemplary customer service skills
• Good venue technology understanding to include but not exhaustive: - integrated AV controls systems, video conferencing systems, video players/ recorders and cameras, sound amplification systems, audio / video patching, Multimedia presentations.
• Ability to problem solve at pace, diagnose and rectify technical faults and engage with maintenance service providers when required.
• Delivery of Virtual Events, Webinars, Hybrid Streamed events, Broadcasting.
• Natural effective communications at all levels.
• Strong knowledge, experience and successes of video shooting and editing processes.
• Excellent practical knowledge and experience of editing software platforms, specifically proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Adobe creative suite and Adobe Premiere pro.
• Exposure to Social media marketing and associated video production.
• Outstanding organisational planning, project management, strategic thinking, team working, and communication skills.
