We are looking for people with an understanding of the AV industry and a passion for PR & Communication – could be social media – could be digital marketing – could in fact be PR….
Job Title: Account ManagerOur client base is about 40% in AV tech, 30% in building services (heating, cooling, lighting control), then 20% in interiors / kitchen & bathroom and 10% - other – including pet food manufacture and 3D printing! So very varied.
Account Manager will work with a variety of different clients across different industry sectors, including the Audio Visual sector! Managing PR activities and leading a team to deliver results and exceed client expectations each month.
Key Responsibilities
• Operating as the main point of contact for any and all matters specific to your clients
• Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of PR campaigns according to the client’s needs and objectives
• Coordinating and driving PR campaigns independently
• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Leveraging existing media relationships and cultivating new contacts
• Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and making appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
• Managing media inquiries and interview requests
• Running client meetings, conference calls and journalist briefings
• Writing, editing and approving press releases, case studies, feature articles, web content and blogs for online and print
• Understanding of, and input to, social media campaigns
• Managing and training account executives / senior account executives
• Helping to foster a great team culture, contributing to company meetings, brain-storming and identifying opportunities for training, growth and development
• Evaluating opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis
• Event management and attendance – pre and post show client support, journalist briefings
• Writing and approving monthly reporting through the Meltwater system
• Contributing to new business proposals and pitch presentations
• Admin: monitoring timesheets and providing account executive support
Key Requirements
• Proven experience in a Senior Account Executive / Account Manager role
• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Solid experience with MS Office
• Event planning experience
• Ability to manage a team
• Knowledge of video production and editing is desirable
