Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior AV Event & Break-Fix Technician to support one of their sites in central London.

Full time support Monday to Friday to support an 8 hour shift between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00, therefore flexible hours as required.

Based in London, the role will support multiple London sites but also available to travel to other client venues across the UK if required.

Direct & manage all onsite Events within Event & Forum spaces.

Be competent in on-site technologies including media walls, projectors, Extron, IPTV, VC, Digital AV environments, etc.

Conduct planning meetings with Client & event organisers to ensure the correct technology is being used & event formats are fully understood leading to successful meetings/events.

Test, check and ensure equipment is in an operable condition prior to any meetings or presentations as required.

Testing, operation, and Break fix support of audio visual and video conference equipment; (e.g. video data projection systems, audio and video conference equipment, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and all other integrated AV systems).

Assist with the setting up and & supporting of presentations / conferences across BAU meeting rooms and event spaces as required.

Provide white glove / meet and greet and duration support service as required that manages technical logistics for large complex events, Town halls, special events, and VIP’s video meetings.

Locate faults or problems and provide fixes or work around solutions on a first / second line basis for Break-fix support.

Ensure fault tickets are logged via Helpdesk and onsite procedures and ensure they are resolved within SLA.

Work with engineers to coordinate visits and ensure faults and equipment failures are repaired or resolved.

IT literate, understand network architecture and structured cable infrastructures.

Proactively train and support end users. Prepare relevant documentation for the purpose of training and updates.

Work with other vendors for AV rental and staging of events.

Work closely with off site Events team to ensure all event requirements are captured and managed effectively for both onsite and off-site events.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure to strict deadlines.

Generate daily reports and contact venue managers to establish full nature of meeting & event requirements.

Daily checks / ad hoc testing across all event & meeting room spaces as required.

Provide support on an individual basis to users at all levels of seniority on Audio Visual equipment, connectivity and applications where appropriate.

Track and manage all AV requests received via dedicated AV Phone & Email.

Carry out or assist in Preventative maintenance checks as required.

Administration including rotas, timesheet of extra technicians, engineering worksheets, Client reporting, etc.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer interaction and support.

Dress code - Smart/Casual.

Remain client facing and calm under pressure at all times.
