Job Description
This is 2 year fixed term contract working directly for our client. They are currently looking for an Audio Visual Engineer who will be responsible for supporting Audio Visual equipment across our clients locations. The Engineer will be based at their HQ Office (London) where they will be supporting external customers with their Audio Visual needs for both internal and external equipment.
Closing date for application: Wednesday 6th November 2019The role will require support of Audio Visual hardware and software, telephony, laptop and desktop equipment and supporting other audio visual equipment. The Audio Visual Engineer will setup and configure Audio Visual equipment and provide user training on the equipment when required for both internal and external customers. The Engineer will be the main point of liaison between the conference services team and Audio Visual users.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Specific role duties
Audio Visual Responsibilities
• Ensure the reliable provision of Audio Visual systems at all our clients sites, ensuring appropriate "housekeeping" tasks are implemented
• Work with the Conference Services team to ensure the Audio Visual systems at the HQ office are able to meet the needs of external clients and internal clients
• Resolve escalated incidents and problems on Audio Visual support issues and log incidents using the Service Desk tool
• Provide support to regional sites on their Audio Visual systems, including configuration to defined specifications, providing advice and guidance
• Provide VIP audio visual support within the UK HQ Office
• Liaise with third party audio visual suppliers to ensure routine support and maintenance is provided for all Audio Visual equipment
• Provide training at UK HQ Office to external clients in the use of Audio Visual equipment
• Ensure the successful implementation and management of Audio Visual specific change in line with the our clients IT Change Management procedure
• Ensure all Audio Visual Technical systems are fully documented, are fit for purpose, producing system-operating procedures for all Audio Visual systems
IT Technical Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot Audio Visual, Software and Hardware incidents and equipment supporting the Audio Visual equipment
• Provide expert technical advice in support of the timely resolution of incidents and problems relating to Audio Visual Solutions
• Advise the our client in the design and implementation of robust Audio Visual systems
• Provide business specific training support for any new systems being introduced
• Develop proactive procedures to ensure the smooth running of Audio Visual systems and ensure they are adhered to
• Monitor and maintain systems and undertake actions to ensure consistent delivery of IT and Audio Visual services
• Setup, configure and take down Audio Visual systems
• Manage problems escalated from the service desk to resolution
• Ensure changes adhere to agreed change management procedures
• Assist in the delivery of Audio Visual projects
• Advise on system enhancements and make recommendations for improvements or replacements
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to ensure a resolution of IT and Audio Visual incidents as required
• Support the deployment and technical support of Audio Visual systems as required
• Ensure compliance with audit actions relating to IT and Audio Visual Systems
• Manage the reliability, performance and availability of IT and Audio Visual infrastructure
• In conjunction with the Information Security and Compliance Manager as well as other stakeholders, develop disaster recovery procedures and assist in periodic Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
• Provide advice, guidance and documentation on the use of IT and Audio Visual systems
• Ensure system documentation is kept up to date and record any changes to Audio Visual systems
• Assist in the selection and acquisition of hardware, software and third party application packages
• Work in conjunction with the Information Security and Compliance Manager to implement policies and procedures to ensure systems are fully operational, robust and secure
• Undertake research and development
• Troubleshoot both software and hardware problems with support from outside companies when required, resolving more complex problems escalated from the Service Delivery Team
• Produce statistics as required in relation to IT Incidents and Problems
