Job Description
Our client is looking for a Video Installation Technician who will be required to provide on-site support to our clients existing customers. This involves travelling between sites for scheduled maintenance and service visits as well as emergency call-outs in the event of a failure.
The successful applicant will be required to:• Be well-presented and customer-facing – inspire confidence from our customers with your specialist skills and knowledge.
• Install, maintain and operate specialist video systems, including audio and electrical
• Install, terminate and test power, data, video and audio wiring
• Install, populate, cable, dress, maintain equipment racks and wall-mounted controls
• Install and test projectors, screens, LED and other display technology
• Install lighting and audio equipment as part of our immersive video experiences
• Engage with and understand the media server technology we use
• Take ownership of the technical delivery of our projects following a handover from our technical consultant designers
• Provide technical support, ensuring that service levels and response times are met
• Maintain standards across all our projects by implementing our installation standards and quality management processes
• Undergo training as required in technology, installation and health and safety
• Help the Production Manager lead site work with freelance and outsourced technical labour, ensuring that all on-site technicians and labourers are working safely to PA standards.
• Assist the head of Production and Head of Technology in defining and constantly improving our installation technology and standards to improve creativity, quality and reliability.
• Understand the creative process, ensuring the physical canvas on site supports the content being created for it and vice-versa.
• Working to our installation standards, liaise with the Project Manager to ensure required materials and equipment are available on site for each day’s work.
• Assist on delivery, testing and logistics of our events
• Travel to client sites worldwide as required
• Attend the office for project meetings and handovers
• Assist the warehouse manager in the warehouse on non-site days
• Drive the company vehicles
