Job Description
The role of Technical Project Manager is to take full ownership for the technical correctness, budget, time scale and Installation of the projects you are allocated. You will be responsible for running multiple simultaneous projects from Sales hand over to completion. The entire customer journey will be overseen by yourself, to include variations, working with main contractors,documentation and training.
The role will work closely with our Installation Manager, Lead Installers, programmers and commissioning engineers.This role will be a hands-on ground level role involving both office, planning and design time but also site leadership, supervision to include client meetings and hand overs.
Most projects will be Corporate Audio-Visual projects based in London which will include Video conferencing, large format displays, control systems and DSP’s with order values from £25 - £250K.
Responsibilities
- End to End responsibility for Projects allocated to you
- Attend Hand over meetings from the Sales team
- Approve Bill of materials and progress with Purchasing
- Continually progress project timescales, milestone and costs
- Attend client and project meetings
- Manage Extras and variations
- Motivate and support Install teams and manage issues and challenges
- Prepare and brief required programmers and commissioning teams
- Hand over meetings to the client
- All project documentations, such as client sign offs, RAMS, power and data, elevations and schematics
- Reporting back to the business of project status
Skills & experience:
- 5 years’ experience in AV industry
- Previous experience in Project Management
- Understanding of working with main
- contractors and how AV fits into construction
- programme
- Technical Knowledge of Corporate AV
- systems
- Ability to drive performance and efficiency
- Know your ways around London and transport
- constraints.
- Strong Commercial Acumen
Desirable
- Use of Gant Charts and project planning software
- Previously worked in and installation, design or commissioning roles
- Ability to create schematics
Qualifications:

- IPAF
