Job Description
An experienced Senior AV Technician with a good knowledge of Conferencing solutions, Audio Visual Systems and their related technical fundamentals. You will have experience supporting various levels of client, staff and associated teams in the smooth running of the day to day operations within an AV environment.

Main Purpose of Position:
Your prime function is to ensure the highest quality of technical support to all clients, your role will be to facilitate correct preparation, implementation, operation and remedial works required for all aspects of all audio visual, video conference, audio conference, display, presentation and collaborative technologies, you will be expected to support the operation with clear and precise documentation and will have the ability to train others in the correct operation and support of systems. Proactively leading from the front to ensure the service operates within agreed SLAs, to manage, support and deliver all Audio-Visual services including service desk, project management and onsite technical support.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provision of day-to-day AV support across the site.
- Supporting the wider team and client base through ongoing training and coaching
- Provide AV Support between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 (Mon-Fri) based on a 40 hour working week on a rotating shift basis.
- Management of the AV mailbox.
- Liaise with external clients and associated teams to ensure first-class AV Meeting support and delivery.
- Liaise with internal clients to consolidate their meeting requirements and complete Job Allocation Sheets scheduling and delivering support accordingly.
- Report and action service shortcomings affecting the AV Team to the client
representative and associated teams, sheduling and carrying out additional works
as and when required with minimul impact to the client.
- Creation, maintenance and adherence to procedures relevant to the AV Team.
- Deliver a high standard of service in accordance with SLAs for the AV Team.
- Deal with day to day administrative duties and any ad hoc duties as required.
- Continuously review the AV Team procedures for improvements/modifications.
- Be fully conversant with H&S and First Aid procedures onsite.
- Provision of rota management of the team ensuring that the service is efficientlty
covered at all times.
- Have an overview of all AV meetings onsite, ensuring a consistent standard is
maintained and that all processes are routinely followed.
- Provision of Event support during key calendar events.
- Support and train others to ensure procedural knowledge is passed to all members
of the support teams.
- Responsible for the organisation and the tracking of onsite portable and static
equipment and any associated fault management and resolution.
- Monitoring and ordering of BAU consumable stock.
- At a formal level the job holder will be charged with a number of Customer
Service/relationship objectives as part of their annual appraisal and development
plan.
- At an informal level the individual will be encouraged to actively participate in all areas of the AV team and support services.
- Create and maintain all departmental documentation.
- Ensure accurate client billing through applying correct charging procedures and ensuring reports are correctly completed.
- Preparing, distributing and presenting management information regarding performance against contract.
- Other duties as required or assigned by company management
What Experience, Skills and Attributes you will need to be successful?
- AVIXA CTS is desirable, candidates without this qualification will be expected to work towards it.
- Checkable AV operational experience.
- Experience in a senior capacity or the ability to take the next step.
- Able to direct, lead, motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent telephone techniques and manner.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to provide working standards to the highest specification within a Corporate site.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software, systems and operational platforms.
- Good level of experience in Microsoft packages.
- Three years’ experience in a corporate audio-visual environment.
