Job Description

The Event Manager, who will be based at a corporate bank in central London, will be of critical importance in marketing and communicating the service to new and existing internal customer to our client. The Event Manager will be identifying new opportunities to develop standardised services and bespoke solutions.

Specific activities would include:
- Continual monitoring and assessment of existing products and services against defined KPIs
- All aspects of team management.
- Establishing new products and services to augment the existing AV Service Catalogue
- Maintaining documentation describing services and underlying processes
- Harmonisation of equipment and processes across teams where appropriate
- Delivery of regional promotional event "showcases" to internal clients
- Developing marketing collateral and "how to" guides
- Developing training programmes for internal staff and clients
- Preparing client and management reports
- Vendor management

SKILLS PROFILE
- Strong project management experience.
- Technical team management experience.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities.
- Possesses high quality communication skills, both verbal and written, and is capable of articulating information in a clear and concise way.
- Process and procedure oriented.
- Has a positive attitude to helping and assisting customers.
- Is of a calm temperament and capable of displaying a composed demeanour when working under pressure.
- Works as a solid team player and yet is self-motivated and capable of working alone.

MANAGEMENT
- Team Management - Direct Management of the Senior Event Technicians and Event Technicians.
- Inspire and motivate team by setting clear performance objectives.

ADMINISTRATION
- Reporting - Collection, entry of client statistical data including SLA performance, management information, team performance and other business metrics for client.

- Meetings - Attend regular client meetings and maintain close contact with AV Services Manager to ensure effective communication and take part in monthly review meetings.
- Documentation - Drive the creation and enhancement of all site documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to work with AV Services Manager to ensure documentation processes and procedures are maintained in accordance with the clients requirements.
- Scheduling - Management of Event Team Rota, including holiday requests and oversee the Event team to make sure all site workload and activities are planned and resourced within SLA agreements.

EXPERIENCE
- Banking / Finance or Professional Services background.
- A strong understanding of audio visual systems (sound, data, lighting and uses within a live event environment).
- Extensive experience working within live broadcasting.
- Excellent Team Leadership experience
- Knowledge of or working with call logging systems.
- Knowledgeable video conference systems experience.
- Advanced audio visual technologies.
- Experienced knowledge of Excel, and general computer skills.
- A good understanding of resource booking systems.
- Technical fault finding experience, preferably demonstrated through a service desk environment.
- Understanding of best practice in video / audio conferencing and implementation of these technologies in to the events environment.
- Live event experience covering several disciplines within the events environment such as sound mixing, vision mixing, lighting, and calling.
- Previous event management experience gained within an auditorium environment.

WORKING HOURS
09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
Flexibility will be required to provide cover and resolve issues to Client satisfaction at short notice. Working hours are subject to change to meet future requirements.
OVERTIME
Occasional off-hours work and/or holiday work will be required. Overtime can be claimed by arrangement. This must be accurately logged.
