Job Description
As a leading global audio visual systems integration company has developed a very large portfolio of clients, crossing all market sectors, over six continents is looking for a System Designer.
The main purpose of the role will be to undertake and support the existing design team.- Production of audio visual system schematics
- Production of audio visual M&E drawings
- Production of bespoke metal work design "' Bracketry, plates, etc
- Production of bespoke woodwork design "' control desks, lecterns, media walls, etc
- Production of drawings detailing optical rigs, projection throw, screen distances, equipment/power/service/data positioning
- Production of containment drawings
- Proficient at using AutoCAd 2D to draw all of the above
- Attending site meetings
- Designing coordination with all internal departments and external clients/consultants
- Supplier liaison
Person Specification:
- Comprehensive working knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installations (including AMX, Crestron, Extron, audio DSP, video conferencing, video streaming, digital signage, etc)
- A thorough understanding of technology behind the equipment and associated interfacing
- Excellent organisational skills
- Sociable and a sense of humour
- Administration skills including typing and reporting using Office applications
- The ability to deliver under pressure with minimum supervision
- To communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Good oral and written communication skills with strong eye for detail
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to delivering the role
- Problem Solving
- Able to work well within a team
- Self-Management / Communication / Planning/Organising
