Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager for high-end residential audio-visual installations. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that client projects are completed to our exceptional standards, adhering to the specified timeframe and budget. Additionally, the Project Manager will be tasked with fostering and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with clients, design teams, and main contractors to ensure overall client satisfaction.
The role will be an evolving position responding to the requirements of the company, however the main duties will include:• Responsible for day to day running of the project, communicating with the Client, design team, contractors & with our team on site.
• To be client facing during & at all times when needed to explain systems, suggest alternatives when needed or to handover systems
• Working closely with engineers & third party teams when required on site to ensure they have what they need (documentation, Equipment, access etc.) to do the job in hand but also to ensure the standards are being kept
• Rack Design Following our Rack design guidelines, this can be worked up with Lead engineer also
• Working with the Project support Team to produce drawings for your project, managing this team to update drawings for your project so they are issued on time.
• Procurement of equipment within in time so project stays within timeline & within budgets laid out, final check of equipment that equipment specified is suitable for application
• Understanding & an eye for safety for our team on site, ensuring RAMS have been issued to site
• Attending or holding meetings either on site or virtual, ensuring we are raising any relevant information in a professional & timely manner
• Ongoing design during the duration of the project if design department are not required
• Producing Programmes for the duration of the project.
• Managing project Finances & invoicing, Variations & quote (design team/AA/MS may assist when needed) throughout the project with client team &/or main contractor. Funds must be received before purchasing unless special agreed terms.
• People management whether this is Staff or people you are working with on the project to ensure we have a positive outlook
• Feeding back to the design team on any specified equipment/systems good or bad
• Handing over to client(s) & maintenance team at the end of the project with one of the Partners
Experience Required:
• A good overall understanding of Audio Visual Systems, how they work & how they connect
• Experience project managing high end residential AV.
• AV & Lighting Control systems Crestron, Savant, Lutron
• Cinema systems & Surround sound
• Able to design, read & understand technical drawings & schematics
• Electrical knowledge
• Field/past hands on Experience
• Faulty finding & problem solving
A Project Managers role is a senior position in the company and carries a responsibility to ensure projects are completed on time and to achieve a good margin & happy repeat clients.
Out of Hours support:
To be on call as per the team Weekend rota to be frontline support for calls coming into the office, to then delegate to an engineer if required to go out.
