Job Description

We require an AV Technician who will handle day to day technical operation of our clients AV equipment and on floor Audio Visual Conferencing facilities. To manage this business-critical environment such that it is always ready for use. This role liaises with the IT support team and takes direction from the assigned resource within this team, as such your work locations will be with the IT team or within the AV control room as your work activity dictates.

Main Purpose of the Job;
To manage this business-critical environment such that it is always ready for use
To manage planned works to the systems to prevent disruption to 'business as usual'
To closely monitor and manage the service effectiveness of specialist maintenance sub-contract service providers
To manage the consequences of any failure of landlord service provision, specifically power and air conditioning
To provide remote AV assistance and support for the network of offices across Europe and Asia.
This role is "client facing" and carries a "front of house" profile, as such it requires a smart appearance and professional manner. It should be your focus to ensure the Client experience is both enjoyable and productive.
To be responsible for the day to day technical operation of our clients AV equipment and on floor Audio Visual Conferencing facilities.

Responsibilities;
To provide support and assistance to ensure that all client AV presentations and video conferences perform as scheduled and, in the manner requested by the Clients best practice guidelines
To provide monthly statistics of video conference calls performed successfully for compilation within the engineering monthly report (KPI).
To provide first line attendance to equipment breakdown or malfunction, performing corrective action or repair or defining the most effective course of action for sub-contract attendance and repair. To establish and manage an inventory of spares that eliminates unscheduled downtime (KPI).
To participate in the preparation of specifications, estimates and tender documents for maintenance contracts utilising existing or new framework agreements, ensuring the Client achieves best value (KPI).
To regularly communicate with the Client ensuring that we are aware, and can be prepared to meet, their changing needs.
To ensure that at the start of each day, every AV facility is available with a clear set of user instructions available. Thus, enabling regular users to become familiar with operating procedures (KPI).
To manage on behalf of the Client the Operating and Maintenance records with respect to all AV equipment. Any changes to equipment and /or room configurations are correctly documented and filed (KPI).
To ensure appropriate compliance with the Client's purchasing, approval and Financial Regulations.
To undertake regular reviews of maintenance services and actively communicate with colleagues to
ensure the Company is innovative in the area of maintenance and planned works.
To undertake responsibility for communications with the Clients external VC platform provider
On occasion and as time allows to provide support to the JHI AV team in coordination with the IT team

Skills and Experience;
To be fully competent with all Polycom installed & portable technologies including MCUs and codecs.
Experienced with Video conferencing infrastructure – Zoom Rooms administration management and Teams administration management..
Experience with Podcast production – audio signal flow and recording
Crestron experience along with Extron switches and devices
A good knowledge of managing Town Hall events - use of a digital mixing desk, wireless mics and video presentations.
Working knowledge of Clevertouch digital signage devices – uploading content

Other responsibilities;
Contribute to the Client's commitment to continuous improvement by actively participating in the business continuity assessment process and scenario testing
Participate in the Company's appraisal process and undertake appropriate training and development activities or programs
Operate in accordance with ours and the Clients Health and Safety requirements
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Building Services management and technical opportunities
Demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly to respond to the evolving Building Services needs of the Client
Willingness to undertake occasional evening and weekend work
