Job Description
We’re searching for a Warehouse Operations Manager who will be committed to excellence with exceptional warehouse leadership experience and a demonstrable track record within an events or audio- visual setting. You will provide an invaluable link between our client’s Warehouse Manager and their operations management team.
As a Warehouse Operations Manager you’ll have overall responsibility for the warehouse, the warehouse team, stock and quality issues relating to equipment. This includes responsibility for members of the warehouse team and anyone else who works in or enters the warehouse space, asset management, waste management, repair management and managing all activities that fall within the warehouse function.Our client’s employees take great pride in their work and recognise that the work they do for their clients on site can only ever be as good as the quality of the equipment and preparation within the warehouse. The journey for every production starts and ends in the warehouse and this role will ensure the best possible outcome for the successful delivery of our client’s services to by ensuring that every stage of equipment preparation is meticulously planned and executed in a controlled and timely manner.
Responsibilities
• You assist in the recruitment and onboarding of warehouse staff
• You will proactively manage the warehouse space and storage
• You will play a pivotal role in managing staff training and personal development of the warehouse team, including the implementation LEAN process throughout the warehouse
• You will plan warehouse staff and technical resources
• You will liaise closely with our client’s Head of Procurement regarding all aspects of stock management
• You will police warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all procedures and ISO requirements
What we’re looking for
You should have/be:
• A technical background and a good understanding of how AV equipment works and is used in live events
• Proven experience in Warehouse Management roles, ideally working within a similar industry
• Exceptional planning skills – being able to plan for variations in team capability and availability
• First class interpersonal skills – especially regarding meeting management and written communications
• Experience of working effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels within an organisation
• Strong team skills with the ability to work with a variety of professionals from different disciplines to successfully deliver Projects
• Naturally pro-active instincts, with a hunger for inspiring change and operational improvement
• Excellent all round end-user IT skills
