Job Description
We have a NEW permanent position for an AV Field Service Engineer, based within the company's Service Department, Managed by the Head of Operational Services. Home Counties.
The main duties of the Service & Support Engineer are:1. To carry out preventative maintenance to installed and free issued equipment to contract and non-contract customers.
2. To providing reactive maintenance to customers experiencing issues with their equipment/systems.
3. Repair of equipment/cabling etc. in situ in order to resolve issues
4. Engineer a temporary solution to allow as much functionality as possible if item of equipment is not working and has to be removed for repair.
5. Arrange for faulty equipment to be removed, temporary replacement equipment to be installed. Process is reversed when faulty item has been repaired.
6. To provide updates to portal "tickets" and provide such assistance to client queries as required including technical support.
7. To providing online support using remote tools if network access is granted by the client
8. To prepare equipment for repair by third party companies under RMA’s and / or under warranty.
9. To own and action issues raised on preventative maintenance visit reports and visit log sheets.
10. Adherence to all company and client related H&S processes.
11. To arrange for the order of any spares / parts that may be required to complete service or maintenance work.
12. To liaise with customers to update them on progress of any repair work or open "tickets"
13. To complete all reports required for service, maintenance or preventative maintenance work carried out under contract or through an emergency call-out or non-contractual arrangement.
14. To arrange reactive and preventative maintenance visits with customers if required.
15. To compile equipment lists for rooms under maintenance agreement
16. Ensuring any vehicle used is safe, roadworthy, fit for purpose and contents secure with valid, current MOT certificate.
17. To contribute to the efficient working of the Service Department and other areas of the comapny where required.
