Job Description
Our client is the UK’s leading AV and IT Rental Services Company, requiring an Audio-Visual Installation Engineer to join their expanding AV team.
Job title: AV Installation EngineerReports to: Engineering Manager
Purpose of the role:
The company is growing its AV capability and are looking for an exceptional Engineer to join their dedicated team and work with some of the latest AV equipment.
The ideal candidate will have an adaptable, flexible can-do attitude, outstanding client facing skills and the willingness to travel to help us deliver exceptional client services.
Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the Preparation and Installation of a wide range of AV solutions. The scope of work can range from single items of equipment to large scale event rollouts across UK and some in Europe.
• Video conferencing capability would be a distinct advantage.
• Support the sales team in providing working solutions and ensuring that equipment is complete and functional.
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and requirements.
• Provide onsite support of equipment during customer events.
• You will be measured on your technical excellence, eye for detail and provision of first class technical on-site support.
• Support all other internal engineering departments where able.
Requirements:
• Experience as an AV Installation Engineer in the exhibition and events industry.
• Be capable of wall mounting Large Format screens
• Be able to install free standing Screens
• Capable of installing and setting up multi panel Video walls
• Have capability to install and support small PA systems
• Understand and be able to put together a Video Conferencing setup of screens and cameras.
• Have adequate IT skills to be able to install, run and control content.
• Knowledge of supporting and servicing Harman lighting would also be an advantage
• Be an outstanding team player, working well with others; someone who is not insular to his trade but willing to learn and help others learn a constantly changing variation of equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, both written and verbally.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
• Have a flexible, adaptable approach in terms of working hours.
• A dynamic individual who will work over and above the job description all in the name of enabling us to deliver great events for our clients.
• A full driving licence.
