Job Description
We're looking for an experienced AV Design Engineer on behalf of fast growing AV systems integration company. Excellent starting package + benefits!
Scope and Purpose of the JobTo provide technical support to Sales and Operations teams to help meet the needs of our customers. This requires the ability to create audio visual technical specifications, scope of works and system drawings/schematics.
For complex projects the person will act as Technical Lead throughout the design and implementation process.
Principal Tasks/Accountabilities
1. Technical interpretation of client specifications and assisting with proposal development
2. Conducting site surveys when required to ensure accurate system designs
3. Producing technical specifications and bill of materials (including accurate estimates of installation resource and cabling requirements)
4. Production of schematics and technical documentation (e.g. wiring schedules, rack build designs, viewing distances and angles, speaker coverage)
5. Production of Scope of Works (SOW) documentation
6. Review and sign off on system designs created by colleagues
7. Creation of turn-key solutions as well as bespoke designs
8. Client and contractor liaison through implementation process, where appropriate
9. Continual review and testing, of new technologies to ensure solutions are innovative and market leading
Technical / Personal Specification
1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in AV system design
2. CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification desirable
3. Working Knowledge of AV Systems and related I.T. networking architecture
4. Working Knowledge of Visio and/or CAD
5. Awareness of new and emerging technologies
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Excellent attention to detail
8. Proactive, with ability to work both in a team and independently
