Job Description
Grow overall venue sales through solicitation of new business using consultative sales. Cultivate relationships with key venue personnel to enhance overall business relationship with venues. Manage sales staff including mentoring, training and account assignments while maintaining a personal sales desk.
Key Job Responsibilities (Weight%):Solicit new business for the client through consultative sales by obtaining definite bookings from venue, creating professional bids and proposals and attending client site visits. (40%)
Meet client needs by attending pre-conference meetings, creating and maintaining organized show files and responding to client concerns, questions, and problems. (35%)
Cultivate relationships with key venue personnel. (15%)
Provide operational support by acting as Event Technology Manager in his/her absence, leading team members during shows, driving sales programs with team members and training as needed. (10%)
Job Requirements
Minimum of a High School diploma, BS/BA in Business preferred.
Minimum 4 years sales and event technology or hospitality experience. (ie. audio, visual, lighting, rigging, etc.)
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or sales leadership responsibilities
Prior sales experience in audiovisual preferred
Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes required in addition to the ability to read and decipher financial reports and records
Computer proficiency required including MS Office and CAD software.
