Job Description
This is a great opportunity for an AV Technician to join an in-house AV support team. Direct staff appointment. Central London. High-quality audio-visual systems and related IT systems used in a principal auditorium, alongside meeting rooms and high-profile public facing areas.
Job PurposeTo ensure audio-visual and related systems deliver optimal business benefits across the organisation and meet current and future informational needs for the Venue Sales and Marketing team.
Main duties and responsibilities
o To support and maintain all AV systems (including the Polycom VC, digital microphones, mixing desks, discussion systems, recording devices, PA-s, and Onelan).
o To identify, analyse and solve day to day audio visual issues.
o To provide without guidance, support and technical management of events for both internal and external clients.
o To consult and advise line manager with technical information and where necessary offer recommendations.
o To plan and prioritise workload on a daily and weekly basis.
o To evaluate new hardware, including emerging technologies such as digital mixing desk, digital microphones, wireless presentation systems and provide recommendations to line manager.
o To be able to lift heavy objects and materials.
o To provide other support as may be requested from time to time.
