Job Description
This amazing opportunity is exclusively with JacobsMassey. Our client is seeking a Senior Technician to be based in the heart of the City. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical onsite support in the event spaces and conference and meeting rooms.
You will have exposure to a multitude of technologies in the audio visual and video conference arena including meeting room, events, video conference scheduling and live streaming services. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will act as a point of contact for the senior management and to the on-site team in the absence of the site manager.Hours: 9-hour day, on a rotational shift basis between 7am – 7pm Monday – Friday, including an hour for lunch (40 hour week)
Technician Based Tasks
• Day to day BAU support of AV and TP facilities
• Setup/operation of integrated events spaces including high profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls
• Videoconference/audio conference set-up and support with Cisco & Polycom systems as well as support of webcasting
• Manage all aspects of the Video Calls from initial booking through to the monitoring and completion of all calls including scheduling and full systems operational testing prior to any high-profile event
• Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required
• Prepare equipment for events and meetings and proactively locate faults and provide first fix resolutions
• To be very presentable and an ambassador for our client with the ability to liaise with senior executives in a calm and professional manner at all times both face to face and via the telephone
• Attend other sites as required and work onsite shifts to meet requirements with a flexible approach ensuring out of hours events are also covered
• Proactively train and support on-site teams and end users
• During events control and monitor
- sound desk
- lighting desk
- TP equipment and touch panels
- Vision mixing
- Cameras
Administration Based Tasks
• Monitoring and responding to the following email accounts:
• Client advisory – SeeMe / Adobe / webcasting
• EMS reporting
- Correcting inactive, overseas cost codes and other billing errors
- Ensure new/existing bookings have accurate technical detail and resourcing
- Key point of contact for EMS including training
• X-panel troubleshooting – IPTV channel faults – audio problems – Scala digital signage
• BreakFix co-ordination provide cover when required on "Service Manager" ensuring no breach of tickets
• Provide Breakfix stats for the service review
• Administration of AV "SharePoint" and "ShareDrive" ensuring the following documents are accurate and up to date:
- SOP’s
- Contact Directory
- Room information
- Asset inventory lists
• TV Pushes – operate and control remote hardware and systems
• Assisting CCS team on Laptops hire and collection
• Room / equipment tests for technicians to dial and video into
• Consumable orders co-ordination
• Hardware requests, quotations
