Job Description
The role requires the proactive and reactive service and maintenance of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing equipment at our customers' premises. A large part of the role will also be providing a 'white glove' service to high profile executives.
General Responsibilities:- Provide a white glove service for Video Conferences and Events
- Fault finding and repair of AV and VC Systems
- Preventative Maintenance to AV equipment
- Provide readily available face to face support in answering technical questions for equipment and systems
- Responsible for ensuring that the equipment serviced is safe for use and that the quality of work carried out is of the highest quality
- Installation and commissioning of systems projects as required
- Responsible for identifying defective/failed equipment and owns issues until resolved
- Works in cooperation with client and our support teams to provide remediation Primary interface to manufacturers, developers, engineers and project managers in support of identifying and implementing resolutions for highly complex system issues
- Performs remote troubleshooting for local and regional offices
- Provides reports and adheres to service levels as agreed upon
- Perform any other actions and responsibilities as reasonably requested by direct supervisor or the Service Management team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- Able to perform routine maintenance and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers and LCD/Plasma Displays
- Ability to perform advanced AV related testing and troubleshooting
- Can make modifications and diagnose problems with Crestron control systems (Crestron DM Engineer Certification desirable)
- Can read and utilise blue prints and audio/video flow diagrams
- Ability to perform network troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IP's
- Knowledgeable of how to use audio mixing software (BSS, Shure Microflex, Dante Controller)
- Ability to gather and analyse system logs and settings for codecs (Cisco), control systems (Crestron), DSP (BSS).
- Previous experience of Microsoft Skype for Business and Crestron RL Systems desirable
- Have good underpinning technical knowledge of Electronics, Audio Visual Systems and Video Conferencing.
- Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day
- Being able to prioritise and work under pressure
- Be competent to a high level of computer literacy
- Be available and flexible to work overtime if required
- Ability to think laterally finding an appropriate solution to fulfil an application
- Capable of good communication skills both verbal and written at all levels
- Be able to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail ensuring that we complete our work thoroughly, never walking away from a problem
- Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day
- Be cheerful and upbeat in a high profile but relaxed office environment.
Working Hours: This role works from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5:30pm with flexibility required for earlier starts / later finishes.
Overtime: Occasional Out of Hours work and/or Bank Holiday work may be required. Overtime can be claimed by prior arrangement with the Service Delivery Manager. This must be accurately logged and communicated.
Pension & Healthcare: Pension and Healthcare benefits will be offered after the successful completion of a probationary period.
