Job Description
Our client has a new opportunity looking for a VNOC Engineer. Our client is open to applicants coming from the Service side of AV Engineering. This role is working within a team that provides 24/7 service cover globally, this will include working day and night shifts on a shift pattern.
The main role is to be responsible for maintaining high levels of Customer service through helpdesk and remote technical support at our clients HQ. The role requires developing and sustaining excellent customer relations whilst providing first class remote technical support for immediate fault resolution to client’s satisfaction whilst ensuring the commercial impact of the account is upheld.Key Responsibilities
• Technical response to fault tickets received into the global helpdesk
• Receiving direct phone and email support request from clients
• Remote technical diagnosis and fault resolution
• If resolution cannot be achieved, then accurate qualification of fault prior to engineering call out
• Opening tickets with 3rd party suppliers/manufacturers for support and RMA’s
• Liaison with internal departments such as programming and commissioning teams
• Accurate recording of case notes
• Asset management
Desirable Skills
• AV/VC VNOC, onsite or field engineering technical experience
• Product knowledge on VC system including Polycom and Cisco
• Knowledge of Crestron/AMX products and control systems
• Knowledge of digital signage including Exterity and Tripleplay
• Audio DSP’s knowledge including Qsys, Polycom Soundstructure, Tesira and Clearone
• Knowledge on AV system set up including switchers, displays and signal routing
Additional Skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi task and prioritise workload to meet SLA based deadlines
• Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A flexible approach to work
• A proactive approach to fault finding
• Attention to detail
• Responsible and accountable
• Excellent organisational skills
• Commercially sensitive
