Job Description
New opportunity with a leading AV integrator. Our client is seeking a Senior Event Technician to be based in central London. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical onsite support in the event spaces and conference and meeting rooms of our clients site.
Key Tasks• Technician support Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17.00 (excluding bank holidays)
• Responsible for overall service delivery and technical support of all installed systems
• 1st & 2nd line onsite technical support for all service users
• Validation of faults, fault triage and identification
• Implement work arounds in the event of system failures
• Coordination and management of on clients site fault tickets via client in house ticketing systems
• Ensure all tickets are tracked in real time via client in house ticketing system
• Assist with meeting room bookings via ticketing system and Skype for Business
• Develop site documentation for fault triage and escalations through to our clients helpdesk
• Coordinate and manage repairs via our clients helpdesk teams
• Coordination and ownership of software / firmware upgrades / processes (Polycom / Intevi)
• Manage critical spares stock report for site
• Implement / manage PMV plans
• Manage Auditorium space and support events as required
• Manage a team of technicians to deliver events
• Work alongside our clients Events team and other stakeholders to deliver large events
• Assist with the setting up and supporting of presentations / conferences across the estate
• Provide white glove / meet and greet service that manages technical logistics for large complex events, town halls,
special events, and VIP’s video meeting
• Generate daily reports and contact VIP clients to establish full nature of meeting and event requirements (as required)
• Daily checks / ad-hoc testing across all event and Key meeting room spaces
• Liaise with and Manage 3rd party suppliers
• Be fully competent in digital AV environments. IT literate, understand network architecture and structured cabling
• Identify 3rd parties service providers, i.e. Facilities, M&E, IT etc. and formalise support models across the groups
• Create monthly MI reports
• Manage our clients onsite service deliverables
• Proactively train and support end users where required
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to strict deadlines
• Remain client facing and calm under pressure at all times
Desirable Skills:
• Working knowledge of Audio Visual technologies including:
o Crestron: digital matrix, control systems, control panels
o Christie Spyders
o Q-sys
o Polycom Video Conferencing
o Skype for Business functionality and troubleshooting
